Homelessness with JohnHelp

The American Society for the Prevention of Hunger and Poverty helps individuals, families, nonprofit staff, and community partners find the support they need to build healthier, safer, and more stable lives.
Through JohnHelp, ASPHP connects people with trusted local resources for food assistance, housing support, healthcare access, workforce training, financial literacy, education, transportation, legal rights, elder care, and more.
Whether someone needs help finding food, navigating homelessness, accessing medical care, building job skills, earning a high school degree, or connecting with community support, JohnHelp makes help easier to find, easier to understand, and easier to access.
By bringing these resources together in one simple platform, JohnHelp helps reduce confusion and gives people clearer next steps during difficult moments. ASPHP’s goal is to make support more accessible in every community so more people can move toward stability, opportunity, and hope.

A National One-Stop Resource for Poverty
Prevention and Community Support

Millions of Americans face daily challenges related to hunger, poverty, homelessness, limited healthcare access, unemployment, lack of transportation, financial insecurity, and educational barriers.
Too often, help exists but people do not know where to find it, how to qualify, or what step to take next.
ASPHP was created to change that.
Through JohnHelp, ASPHP provides a free national resource hub that helps nonprofit professionals and people in need locate carefully selected resources in communities across the United States.
JohnHelp connects users to practical support in their area, in language that is clear, simple, and easy to act on.
By bringing many types of support together in one place, JohnHelp helps reduce confusion and gives people a clearer path forward. Whether someone is facing an immediate crisis or working toward long-term stability, the platform is designed to help them find trusted resources with dignity, confidence, and hope.
Our Mission
The mission of the American Society for the Prevention of Hunger and Poverty is to support nonprofit staff and the people they serve by giving them easier access to resources that address the key barriers preventing Americans and their families from reaching their full potential.

Led by John Taylor, CEO of ASPHP and past Founder and CEO of the National Community Reinvestment Coalition, this national effort focuses on breaking down the twelve major cornerstones of poverty and connecting people with the resources they need to overcome them.
JohnHelp is the platform that helps make those connections possible.
